Output Price What you get
FFF raw fileHasselblad 3F format A$19 / frame Untouched 16-bit scan data, straight from the scanner. You invert and colour-balance it in FFF digital Lab or FlexColor — full control, nothing baked in.
Finished scanFinished by the lab A$38 / frame Inverted, colour-balanced and checked frame by frame by our technicians. Delivered as a 16-bit TIFF, ready to print or share.
Full-strip FFFRaw file, one per strip A$49 / strip The whole strip scanned in one pass as a single FFF raw file — frames, rebate and gaps, uncut, for you to grade. Priced per strip, so a roll depends on how it’s cut: 6×6, 6×7 and 6×4.5 are usually 4 strips; 6×12 is one frame per strip.

Always scanned at 100% maximum native resolution. 35mm, 120 & 220 by request (220 at ×2). 35mm up to 8000 dpi ≈ 85MP · 120 at 3200 dpi. Turnaround confirmed when you book.

Imacon scans,
answered.

What to know before you book.

Should I choose the FFF file or the finished scan?

If you grade your own work and want total control, take the FFF — it's the complete raw data from the scanner. If you'd rather receive a file that's ready to use, our technicians will invert and colour-correct it for you as a finished scan. Many customers order both.

What film can be Imacon scanned?

35mm, 120 and 220 film (220 at double the per-frame rate) — colour negative, black & white and slide. Frames are scanned individually, so pick your best shots or have the whole roll done.

How big are the files?

Big. A 35mm frame at up to 8000 dpi is roughly 85 megapixels, and 16-bit files can run to hundreds of megabytes each. We deliver by download link, or bring a drive to the store.

How long does it take?

Imacon scans are made to order on a single machine, so turnaround depends on the queue and how many frames you book. We'll confirm a date when you drop off or mail in.

Can I order Imacon scans by mail?

Yes — start a mail-in order and note that you'd like Imacon scanning, including which frames (or the whole roll). We'll confirm pricing before we scan.
